Iron, where have you been all my life?

I iron A LOT. I don’t ever iron clothes, but when it comes to my fiber art, I have learned the hard way to take my time and stop to iron. I have had a cheap iron for years, maybe even a decade. As I am working on this art show, I just had it with this iron and decided to splurge on a new one. I didn’t think it would be THAT different, but it is like night and day!

You can see that the steam holes alone are so different. The new one has more holes so it is more even and effective.

The old one on the right just had that opening at the top to insert the water. It would leak and get all over my fabric. Also, the bottom of the iron leaked. The new one is “leak proof”, and so far, so good. The place where water goes on the new one has a cover which I like.

But the biggest selling point for me was the cord. I am not a fan of winding cords. The new iron, you just push a button and the cord retracts. GENIUS!!!

So I spent $80 on this Rowenta iron from Jo Anne’s and it was worth it! I will never go back!
